Small Business First Program (SB1st)
University of California has a goal of 25% small business utilization for overall annual contract dollars.
The Small Business First (SB1st) program calls for non-construction contracts and procurements between $10,000 and $250,000 to be awarded to certified Small Businesses (SBs) and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs), wherever applicable. The following US government issued certifications are accepted:
- Small Business
- Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business
- Small Disadvantaged Business
- Woman Owned Business
- Veteran Owned Business
- LGBTQ Owned Business
- Minority Owned Business
- 8 (a) Business Development
- HUBZone
To participate in the Small Business First (SB1st) program:
- Register with SupplierOne to be found by UC Riverside buyers for upcoming bids
- Register with CalUsource to participate in bidding opportunities across the UC system
- Read University of California Terms and Conditions of Purchase to ensure you can meet them
